VILLAGE OF CHESTER – I&I MITIGATION – CDBG FY2022

SUBJECT: Village of Chester – I&I Mitigation – CDBG FY2022

Dear Village Resident / Business,

The Village of Chester is currently undertaking the subject project to mitigate groundwater and rainwater from entering the Village’s sanitary sewer collection system. The work consists of replacement of a portion of the sewer main within Main Street and Winkler Place. As such, the Village’s contractor, Van Etten Contracting, LLC, will be installing the new sewer main in the coming weeks.

During the reconstruction of said main, the Village respectively requests that you refrain from parking along Main Street and Winkler Place to allow the contractor to safely replace the main as well as allow traffic to continue to safely enter and exit past the construction area.

Thank you for your support to complete this important infrastructure project within the Village.

Respectfully,
Mayor Christopher Battiato
